Traxxas Slash VXL 3S – First Run & Reveal! Should’ve Tried This Sooner

This one is a really special video for me. It’s not just about showing you the first run and reveal of the Traxxas Slash VXL 3S, but also about friendship, community, and what this hobby means.

I’ve had a mate in this hobby for nearly 3 years now. We’ve spent loads of time just chatting, talking RC, sharing ideas, and honestly keeping each other going. He’s asked not to be named here, but from day one of this channel he’s been there in the background, supporting me and encouraging me through the ups and downs.

Recently we were chatting about the Slash, and he told me how he’d struggled with it. Out of nowhere he said, “Chris, I want to send you this for the channel. I’d love to see it built up, upgraded, and properly bashed.” I honestly didn’t know what to say. It’s not every day someone does something that generous.

So here it is — my brand-new Traxxas Slash VXL 3S! 🎉
Now, here’s the funny thing… I’ve looked at the Slash again and again over the years, but for some reason, I never bought one. And honestly, I can’t tell you why! After this first run, I’m asking myself: why on earth did I overlook this truck for so long?!

We’re down at my favourite bash spot, “Dusty 2.0.” It’s the perfect mix of terrain — dust, gravel, tarmac, grass, and shale — where you can really test a truck’s handling and get it roosting. And the Slash? It absolutely blew my mind. Fast, planted, fun — and it just put the biggest smile on my face.
