Temporary tram service change - ALSTOM CITADIS X5 Sydney Light Rail L1 Inner West Line

Today Schony747 features some workings of The Sydney Light Rail Alstom Citadis X5. Originally ordered to service the L2 and L3 lines in coupled sets from Circular Quay, the X5 is now also running on the inner west L1 line as single car units. This is a temporary measure and forced onto Sydney Light Rail as the CAF Urbos suffered a cracking problem in the frame which is a worldwide problem with many fleets across many networks.

The L1 is based on a former railway goods line which closed when rail freight was moved to other areas around Sydney.
