Battle Map 1, Alm Map 1, or with it's official title, March to Deliverance (Classic), is the main player-phase track starting from the first Act of the game. This soundtrack is from the Nintendo Famicom game, Fire Emblem Gaiden, released in 1992 by Intelligent Systems for what was their second main FE game in the series.

A decade after, with the departure of Shouzou Kaga after the release of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Intelligent Systems released their next game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance; Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, released in Spring 2002 in JPN. Snuck inside this game were a pletoria of soundtracks from Gaiden and Genealogy of the Holy War, and one of them was March to Deliverance, or at the time, Battle Map 1. This plays on the Trial Maps were it is only accessible at post-game.

Fifteen (15) years later, after the successful releases of Fire Emblem Fates, and with the slow and steady downfall of the Nintendo 3DS, Intelligent Systems released their third and final game to end their successful revival as a franchise for the 3DS era. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, was released in late Spring 2017 as a faithful remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden. Along with this are new versions of previous Gaiden tracks remastered. March to Deliverance received a Prologue version, and the original March to Deliverance; successfully setting the tone for the story line and progression of Alm's journey through the chapters.

March to Deliverance also received the honor of being selected as part of the massive soundtrack collection of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch, this also included Lord of the Dead Empire and Scion's Dance in Purgatory. And in addition, Brawl's rendition of With Mila's Divine Protection.The whole family is here in the game!

And last but not the least, in year 2020, with the success of Fire Emblem Premium Arrange comes with its second album; Fire Emblem Premium Arrange II for the unfortunately cancelled Cipher Festival 2020. Bringing in thirteen (13) different tracks, two representing Gaiden/SoV with March to Deliverance, and Scion's Dance in Purgatory in the Grand Battle Medley. You can hear a bit of Alm Map 2's tune in a form of a flute at the end of the track, since March to Deliverance and What Lies At the End go hand-in-hand together.

And that is it everyone! The Evolution of March to Deliverance. Not a single 25th Anniversary Concert inclusion, not remixed in two of the Cavalry Duo albums, With Mila's Divine Protection chosen as a Brawl inclusion instead of this track. Yeah, that summed up this track in general. It never had its biggest blow-off until its Premium Arrange II version was released. But it has a cool nod from The Binding Blade going for it.

Big shoutouts to the people from The Spriters Resource for providing sprites from Gaiden all the way to Shadows of Valentia! I used their sprites and animated them myself, I used Alm's Fighter class sprite as the base animation, the one featured at the Prologue version.

I could've actually gave them all a running sprite as their entrances and exit in each music, but I realized I didn't have enough time to do it. I'll put this as a to-do list for future videos.
