Orie Hida, the World Champion from Japan, is meticulous, smooth and a real pleasure to watch with her calm poise. For the first time, she came to NY to perform in a tournament at Carom Cafe July 24-26, 2011.
I happened to catch the tail end of one of her beautiful 3-cushion runs with my iPhone during the Ladies International Tournament playing against Olivia Lee (daughter of the great Sang Lee).
In this clip, Orie Hida barely misses a 5-cushion backup shot to end her run and throws up a cool stack of 8 points. She finishes this 30 point game in only 24 innings (1.25 avg)!
