In this video, I check out the NEW Blackfire Proteus Pickups from Gus G. For this demo, I have had the guitar wired so that the pickups are passive. Directly mounted in my Stormshadow Vanquish Paduak.

Proteus is the first humbucker pickup designed by Gus G & his team in order to match his needs for his Metal playing style that requires a powerfully rich tone and expressive feel. These pickups can be used and wired as passive or active, as they come with a high output, a low-noise preamp that gives enough kick and distortion, with well-balanced EQ and rich harmonics that respond perfectly to picking attack and dynamics.
