SLX DC and St. Croix Bass X review! The SLX DC is by far one of the best baitcasting reels under $200. With the overall build and the dc technology, it is tough to beat, the 8.2.1 gear ratio that I have on this reel is great for flipping Texas rigs and jigs. The St. Croix Bass X is a great 7'4 heavy action rod, especially for me since I do everything out of my kayak I do not need an extremely tall rod, this is perfect for me and goes well with the SLX DC!
