This peasant skirt is a replica of my favorite handmade skirt that I made a few years ago, and is literally the easiest skirt I've ever made.
I actually created this skirt without a pattern, so I basically designed this skirt myself (a proud moment!).
I needed to fix and replace the elastic waste-band, which was the perfect opportunity to get the measurements so that I can recreate the skirt.
This skirt is the perfect piece for a Modest wardrobe. It also lends itself well to a Cottagecore, medieval, or Victorian look. I made this skirt out of a 100% cotton bedsheet, but you could use any fabric of your choice!
•The main skirt panels measure: 39 inches by 29 inches. You will need 2 panels.
•The ruffle panels measure 72 inches by 14 inches. You will need 2 panels.
Size adjustment: 1 skirt panel = waist measurement by 29 inches.
Each Ruffle panel = waist measurement times 2 by 14 inches.
You will need:
• Fabric or sheet
• Elastic waste band
• matching thread
• pinking shears (optional)
Don’t hesitate to ask questions if you need help!
Thanks for watching 😊
