Gando, the area north of the Dooman River, is the territory where our ancestors had lived.
The Gando Cultural Experience Village in Dongducheon is a place that exhibits information about the history of Gando and the lifestyles of our ancestors who had lived.
There is a stone monument that was erected in 1712 to define the border between Joseon and Qing. This is the Baekdu Mountain boundary stone, and it was erected at the altitude 0f 2,150m, approximately 4km southeast of Baekdu Mountain Cheoji.
The border is engraved on the Jeonggye Monument as 'Aprok River in the west, Tomoon River in the east'.

두만강 북쪽지역 일대인 간도는 우리 조상들이 실아온 영토이다.
간도의 역사와 그곳에 살았던 우리 조상들의 생활 모습에 관한 자료를 모아 전시하고 있는 동두천에 있는 간도문화체험마을을 방문했다.
1,712년 조선과 청나라의 국경을 정하기 위해 합의해 세운 비석이 있다. 그것은 백두산정계비인데, 백두산 천지에서 남동쪽 약 4km떨어진 지점, 해발 2,150m, 에 세웠다. 정계비에 국경을 '서쪽은 압록강, 동쪽은 토문강'으로 새겨져 있다.
