2024 Husky FC350 vs 2023 Husky TX300 Back to Back on a short woods loop...4-stroke vs 2-stroke! Back to back rides are a great way to understand the characteristics of different bikes.

The all new 300 TBI 2-stroke engine with electronic power valve and throttle body fuel injection sets the bar for big power and strong linear partial throttle response. With a white map (smoother power) and green map (quicker RPM build and more power up top) it is easy to change the character of the engine with the push of a button. This engine is fast and fun to ride with almost no vibration.

350's have long been my favorite overall combination of Power/Weight/Handling in a 4-stroke dirt bike and this updated engine and lowered suspension on this FC350 continues the tradition. I've ridden a '23 350SXF many times but this 24 FC350 seems to run a bit smoother at the initial turn of the throttle and then has strong torque feel low to mid as you roll on the throttle and continues to pull even stronger from mid to top. Easily one of the best overall 4-stroke dirt bike engines available today. As usual the stock WP suspension is firm off the showroom floor and will take a few hours (6~8) to fully break in so today we simply opened up the clickers and lowered the fork pressure to get a little more comfort on the dry hard pack track (Forks: 9.8 bar C22 R20 Shock: C22 R20 HSC 2.75). The lowered setting is noticeable first sitting on the bike and in cornering (especially corner entrance). Even at 6'2" tall (and 190 lbs) I still prefer lower seat heights.

4-stroke or 2-stroke...each a very different experience yet both very fun to ride! Which would you choose?
