Some say its the best food for Discus, its certainly high protein and cheap if you make it yourself. Its not difficult to do either. The fish love it but Im still keeping them on a mixed diet of a number of different things. Beef Heart is one of them. But with prices as they are and never being entirely sure whats in it Ive decided to make my own.
Watch the vid and youll see its surprisingly easy with some basic equipment and the fish love it.
One heart makes around 1.5 kg which will last for some time when only fed once per day.
You can customise the recipe too, it does cloud the water and the fish eat it all in minutes as youll see at the end of the video.

It powered through the mixture and made a nice fine paste with no problems.
