Safely Load and Unload Heavy ATV into Pickup Truck

I've seen one too many youtube videos of people not getting their 4 wheeler / car / motorcycle into their trailer... while it can be sort of funny, in reality it would really ruin your day if it happened to you. So, I've decided that I'll only be using my winch to get my ATV into and out of my truck, and thought I'd share how I personally have set this up. I have ridden it up onto (and off of) the truck but I really don't feel comfortable doing that, especially if I'm alone without a spotter.

I'm not sure my method is perfect, but it allows me to load and unload while not sitting on the 4 wheeler - so if it were to come off, I'd be able to safely and quickly get out of the way. There are some other solutions out there which require you to mount the winch to the truck, but I didn't want to do that since my winch is mounted onto the 4 wheeler.

I know lots of guys with lighter ATV's can just pop them up and lift them into the truck, but this Utility ATV is approximately 700 pounds. Maybe if I had a few friends helping me we could do it that way, but certainly I cannot use that method on my own.

Truck is a 2007 Ram 1500 with a long bed (and a hemi, for what it's worth)
