I've always appreciated different manufacturers and their unique approaches to camera design. While I've never really used Nikon extensively (besides recently acquiring a Nikon F2 film camera), the ZF definitely caught my attention. In this video, I'm diving into its ergonomics, build quality, and functionality, sharing my honest opinions as a street photographer.
Here's what I cover:
Ergonomics and Build Quality: How the ZF feels in hand and its resemblance to classic Nikon cameras.
Shutter Button: Why I think it might be the best I've ever felt.
Articulating Display: The importance of a fully articulating screen for street photography.
Dual Memory Card Slots: My take on the micro SD card and battery placement.
Black and White Mode Button: The convenience of having a dedicated B&W dial.
Image Quality: Thoughts on color, contrast, and sharpness, with sample photos from Brooklyn.
I also share a bunch of photos I took while walking around Brooklyn, capturing street scenes and everyday objects with the ZF. I discuss my approach to composition, color theory, and how the camera inspires me to go out and create.
I wrap up with my overall impressions of the Nikon ZF, highlighting what I loved and what could be improved. While I'm already invested in the Sony ecosystem, I can definitely see myself owning a ZF in the future!
