Bela's champions.

Bela Karolyi and Martha Karolyi are my favorite coaches, in gymnastics. I know people don't like them, because they think Bela and Martha push their athletes to much, but I think they are doing the right thing. Just think about it: they have produced SO many champions, so what they are doing must be right. Sure, they have to be tough on their gymnasts and that's what every elite gymnast coaches do, even if you don't know and even if it doesn't show. Some rumors say that Martha starves her athletes. Well, I wonder where they get all that energy from, if they're starving! If it was that bad, to Karolyi's, then all the gymnasts would have quit! It's simple. If you want to go to a high level, in gymnastics, you have to make sacrifices and one of those is hard training.

These are some of the great gymnasts Bela Karolyi and Martha Karolyi have trained. Nadia Comaneci, Mary Lou Retton, Kim Zmeskal, Dominique Moceanu and Kerri Strug.

I am reading the book that Dominique Moceanu wrote and I realise that I didn't know alot of things about Bela and Marta. I shoudn't have claimed that they were the best coaches ever without knowing what really went on. In fact, I don't really have an opinion anymore and i don't want to because i don't know and never will know what really happened behind the closed doors. I only read Dominique's point of view; I don't know what Bela and Marta would have to say about this. Maybe they have good points to justify what they did. Anyways, I still think that they are the most successful coaches ever in gymnastics and that will never change.
