3 Kids Books that Really Make STEM Concepts Stick in Little Minds!

Hey, y'all. I've got a Workforce Wednesday for you, that's a little bit different. I want to talk about 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨, connecting them to the world of STEM and why the study of Science Technology Engineering and Math is so powerful.

And so the first book I want to share with you. It's kind of a book and a toy all the same time. And I've shared this before, but just want to add it to this list. 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙄𝙉 𝙍𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 from the team at KLUTZ, with Legos. This teaches simple machines. It has levers and pulleys and ramps and my kids after going through this book, they're building simple machines everywhere! And I just really enjoyed seeing how it's made their their minds work.

The second book that that I want to suggest to you is: 𝙄'𝙈 𝙏𝙍𝙔𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙊 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙃 by Bethany Barton and this book is hilarious. There's a little space alien that follows you through. But throughout here, this book is talking to a kid who doesn't like math and it shows them all these examples of things like how math comes into play in their real-world, like buying things or cutting a pizza. And at the end, it really makes you realize math is everywhere and you can't not have math.

And the third book I'm going to kind of combine together in two books. And these books are 𝙍𝙊𝙎𝙄𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙀, 𝙀𝙉𝙂𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙀𝙍 and 𝘼𝘿𝘼 𝙏𝙒𝙄𝙎𝙏, 𝙎𝘾𝙄𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙎𝙏 by Andrea Beaty. These are really lovely books that teach great concepts about asking WHY and asking HOW. Both of these books are just so much fun to read and they get the kids' brains thinking in different ways.

So I've just really enjoyed seeing how these three (four) books really have engaged my kids and the way that they think and thought I had to share those, no affiliation or anything, I've just really enjoyed these books with my kids and thought it would be fun to share them with you.
