The Department of Higher Education has decided to change the pattern of Board Examinations from next academic year, according to which a paper will be prepared on the basis of conceptual questions to abolish cramming system in examinations. For this purpose, the Department of Higher Education has sent a summary for approval. According to the summary, next year's ninth, tenth and intermediate examinations will include conceptional questions, the cramming system will be phased out from the examinations, and the first year will include 25 percent conceptual questions. In the second year 50% conceptual questions will be included while in the third year the entire paper will be conceptualized. As soon as the summary is approved, all the boards of Punjab including Lahore will be directed to prepare papers under the new pattern.
