Come for a walk with me through the Christchurch Central City, today I walk from the Central bus station around the east side of the city.
The east side of the City was pretty heavily damaged in the 2011 Earthquakes, the area also includes the site of the CTV building that fell during the quakes that took 115 souls with it.
There is new growth on the horizon though, construction and development has been taking place lately, there are many compact apartment homes that most of us call Town Houses being constructed in the city! They are quiet expensive considering their size... but New Zealand needs more houses so they are a most welcome sight!
There is also the construction of the large Te Kaha Stadium going up on Hereford Street, I've captured it in a few videos now, and it's good to see its progress. We finish the tour up by the city mission!
