Two days at Bempton Cliffs battling the wind and finding beauty in campion blooms

Join me for a tale of two very different days at RSPB Bempton Cliffs! This video documents my split adventure where extreme winds on the first day made wildlife photography nearly impossible, forcing me to return another day for calmer conditions. Watch as I navigate the challenges of Yorkshire's notorious coastal weather while still finding beauty in the stunning sea campion flowers that carpet the clifftops in delicate pink and white blooms.

The contrast between these two visits perfectly illustrates the realities of wildlife photography – sometimes nature has other plans! On the windy first day, I share the struggles of battling gusting winds while trying to capture the gannet colony, and how I adapted to focus on the gorgeous wildflowers instead. The second visit reveals the dramatic difference calm weather makes, allowing for incredible seabird photography and showcasing why timing and patience are everything in this field.
