DIY: Irrigated Kratky Hydroponics Project - 4. Root Enclosure: Isolate Plants, Continuous Planting.
Applying lessons learned from the starter grid root partition. Isolating plants in a common container makes it easier to troubleshoot individual plant issues - you don't have to rip off an entire batch if one plant is under-performing or having issues. Isolated root systems make it possible to grow variety of plants at varying seasons in one container.
Unlike some techniques where the nutrient solution in the reservoir is topped off with plain water as the plant progress in its growing cycle - thereby diluting the nutrients towards a plants harvest period - here, the nutrient solution is maintained at the desired pH and EC. The only time it's completely discarded is during complete system reset.
This is how the roots will be isolated in the common container.
