Turning a Leaf Spring into four Hand Sickles
In this video I made four sickles from an old leaf spring. I found a piece of leaf spring and heated it in fire then divided it into four parts using a chisel. Each part was forged into a sickle blade.
After shaping the blades I attached wooden handles to them. Using a grinder I sharpened the edges and made the teeth of the sickles. Step by step I created four beautiful and fully handmade sickles from just an old piece of metal.
