Hey, Everyone! Welcome to a new eposide of #CobbleIcons where today we're looking at the life of Coronation Street's iconic character, Anne Malone.

Anne Malone, Played by Eve Steele, was in #Corrie from The 8th September 1995 - 11th October 1998. She worked in Firman's Freezers Supermarket, alongside Curly Watts as an assistant manager. When she returned for her second stint in 1998, she came along with a new job title - Area Manager. As area manager, she made life very difficult for Curly in his position as store manager, and those who worked around her.

She quickly became infatuated by an unsuspecting Curly, which he tried on many occasions to tell her that the feelings she had towards him were not reciprocated - but she would not take no for an answer; she carried on regardless to pursue Curly romantically. I would describe Anne as a bunny boiler-type character. #CoronationStreet

When the message finally dawned on her that she would never have a relationship with Curly - she decided to exact her revenge. Unfortunately - her revenge plan would ultimately backfire - with tragic consequences. Anne Malone was the only character in Coronation Street history to die from being trapped in a walk-in freezer. #FrozeToDeath
