A 17 year old girl starts at a new school where she quickly discovers that she will have to do her best to fit in. A musical drama filled with song and dance as she copes with the loss of a loved one while at the same time falling in love with a mysterious boy.

Teacher Botty tells the class he was coincidentally at the same venue as their party, attending a mate's bachelor party. Caro still assumes he must be the mysterious Ruben who befriended her on social media. Even after he explains he only wanted her opinion about the 'butterfly book' as he considers it for a school play, she bitches at him as if a stalker she's 'about to report to the principal', but is duly told she risks having to explain her impudent misbehavior. Vince has made up with jealous girlfriend Camille, who publicly makes fun of Caro, snaps at Vince who sort of sees both views and gets a long-overdue face-slap from Caro and an anonymous threat o social media. Caro's father celebrates her mother Kristel Jacobs's release from hospital with the annual picnic, despite all obstacles, and does urgent repairs in his mother in law's run-down home, requiring an electrician is called the next day.
