This 1978 Polaroid 1000 camera was stiff in the joints and not firing, but with some tinkering, it has one last opportunity to shine. The 1000 camera has a one-element 103mm f/14.6 plastic lens, fixed focus and an exposure compensation dial knob...And that's it.
The Polaroid 1000 camera was released after the SX-70 in 1977 (the SX-70 is far superior in overall design and, of course, a focusing lens which is wonderfully sharp) and is instantly a recognisable Polaroid shape.
