PAINTING IRELAND (Part 1)
Our first port of call, having negotiated our way through Ireland’s busy capital city, was Glendalough, in County Wicklow. Littered with the remains of old lead mining buildings, Glendalough valley is glacial in origin, and surrounded by extensive oak woodlands.
From the visitor centre car park, our walking route took us past Poulanass Waterfall, rising to a point where the valley opened out below us, and both the Upper and Lower Lakes came into view… and what a view!…
