Wellesbourne to Charlecote, Friday 9th May 2025

It's a beautiful May afternoon and we set off from the middle of Wellesbourne village and head out across the open fields to Charlecote, one of Warwickshire's most picturesque villages. Nestled in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, both Wellesbourne and Charlecote are within 6 miles of Stratford-upon-Avon and boast a rich history and a gorgeous rural backdrop. Our route takes us to Charlecote via Little Hill, passed the Elms Farm Solar Park and across the University of Warwick Life Sciences Park just off the A429. We cross stunning farmland, resplendent in early May sunshine and take in the views of the surrounding area. Along the way I point out areas of local interest and identify local landmarks so that you can adapt your own walk to suit your own personal tastes and inclinations.
