Taking Your Hardware to Production with Zephyr RTOS - Chris Gammell, Golioth
Zephyr RTOS is built for IoT and other complex, low level embedded hardware. But developing on your bench is a fundamentally different activity than revising and shipping a final product. This talk will cover the features of Zephyr that impact your production environment and how to build a product that lasts. It will include short case studies about people building real-world products and many of the challenges that they encountered on the way to production. Some of the areas of focus will include: - Abstraction and maintaining hardware BOMs across time using Zephyr - Developing flexible features that can target multiple product SKUs - Testing tools in production - Connecting and provisioning devices at the factory and reducing supply chain risks - Simulating hardware for ongoing firmware risk reduction - …and more This talk will focus on the “rubber hits the road” aspect of Zephyr and why it is the best RTOS and ecosystem for putting a product out in the world as efficiently as possible.
