VLOG-005 CROSSING THE CAJAS: ROUTE TOTORILLAS-ARQUITECTOS-TIKRANALOMA

Quilico presents its VLOG-005, a journey that crosses the Cajas Park from North to South, starting from the sector of Piedra Blanca (White Rock) in direction to Totorillas lagoon, then Yanacocha de Jerez to continue with the ascent to the Edge of Arquitectos and later to begin the descent to the interior of the lagoon of Estrellascocha de Arquitectos valley in direction to Canoas river and finally to arrive at the foot of the mountain Tikranaloma.
During this journey of 29 km (round trip) the typical landscapes of the Paramo as well as the Ecotone (transition zone) to the montane forest are presented to carry out the terrestrial mammals monitoring of this area.
This vlog intends to show in summary the work done by technicians and park rangers of the Cajas National Park, who in an exhausting day take important data for the collection of information that is an input to generate management and planning tools of the protected areas in the Cajas Plateau area.
