August 2024 highlights. House Vlog #8. This video sat in the editor for awhile without getting finished and uploaded. It's time to move on and bring more of the footage that we have been working on through the Winter to the public, is here is one of the last big things we did last year outdoors while the weather was still warm!
The fence was constructed only along the first 80 feet of the fence line because that was as far as we were able to have the stumps ground out. It was a bonus that we weren't planning on doing yet, but sometimes you have to adjust and take an opportunity while it is there. We will likely finish the rest of that fence line in one more installment of fence at a future date.
The real project that we had planned that month was to rent a dumpster and take down the dilapidated structures in the backyard. I had gone back and forth on saving the enclosed building, but ultimately decided that it would have been a waste of time and money due to the poor construction quality and the terrible foundation slab. It will all get replaced at a future date with a new garage.
