The ‘secret’ of this basspart is giving accent to the first count of the lick in the chorus. Look for instance at bars 17 and 18. I’ve put a – on the Bflat (Bb) note of the first count in bar 18 to give this note a little accent. Also in the bars of for instance the Verse you get the groove going by giving the first note of each bar a little accent.

You can hear one of the ‘signature’ notes of John McVie in the basspart of the solo and outro. He uses the major seventh note of the chord on the second half of the fourth count (for instance bar 75), but he also uses this seventh note of the first count of the chord. For instance bar 80. I like the use of the seventh note on the first count very much because it gives a ‘tension’ to the chord.

In bar 18 on the Bb chord (and subsequent repetitions) the last note (D) in the tabs is written as a '5' on the A-string, but it must be a '10' on the E-string. I play the D-note in this video on the 10th position on the E-string, but in the tabs I've written 5th position on the A-string. Sorry about that!
