Dr. Lauren Whitehurst is an assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Kentucky and a faculty member in both the Center for Health, Engagement, and Transformation and the Department of African American and Africana Studies.
Dr. Whitehurst is at the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging annual Mind Matters Health Summit, speaking on how sleep is an important contributor to our health and longevity. She discusses how sleep impacts much of our daily lives and can affect our mood, memory and cognition. We’ll also learn how to rebound from a poor night sleep and how to develop good sleep patterns.
