As the game evolves so do the skills, with the focus on puck protection & puck possession we must recognise the skills being used at the highest levels. Keeping player safe by making them feel comfortable in the most vulnerable positions is important, saying "never turn your back" my work at lower tiered hockey, but at the elite levels players must understand how to use their body as a shield in various situations.
