In today's video we look at the best way to transition from a seatbelt grip to a set of powerful, workable gi grips to help you finish from the back. Most of the time in no gi, the focus on back control is a seatbelt grip. The reason is simple - our major finish is the rear naked strangle, so we need to have our head very tight to our partner's head. When we're working with the gi, however, this isn't the case. Since the major finish is usually a collar strangle, we need to be able to unlock our hands to establish a strong collar grip. We look at the best way to switch these grips...and a very important detail on head position when we want to finish with the collar strangle. Thanks for watching.
