I was really busy this week so this video is going to have to be cut up into two parts. Remeber to like, comment if you have any suggestions or improvments i could make and subscribe to see more videos like part 2 of this knife build!
Process
Making a knife out of 3mm 01 tool steel. I first cut the stock to rough size using a hacksaw, and then refined it to its final shape with a bastard file and belt sander. Then drilled two 6mm holes in the stock that the pins will later go in and attached the knife to a simple wooden bevel jig (angle was 5.7 degrees) and used the belt sander again, this time to form the bevels. I then sanded each face to 320grit, and heatreated (quenched) in vegtable oil with a propane torch and (tempered) at 200 degrees in a kitchen oven for 40 minutes.
