In 1911, two ranchers from northern Montana reported an encounter unlike anything preserved in official records. What began as a simple search for missing livestock led them deep into the timberland, where they discovered footprints too large to belong to any known wolf. The deeper they traveled, the stranger the signs became: melted snow around fresh tracks, spirals carved into the ground, and the overwhelming sense that something intelligent was watching them from the trees.
This is the last surviving account of what the men called the Shadow Wolf.
A creature that moved without sound, shaped the snow with impossible precision, and chose its prey with purpose.
