Avian Flu Wiped Out Our Entire Flock 😞 (Part 1)

Hey everyone, Marty here with Kakadoodle. As many of you know, our farm has been in the national news recently because we lost our entire flock to avian flu. It’s been an incredibly difficult time, and I wanted to take a moment to share everything that’s happened.

In this video, I’ll walk you through the past couple of months on the farm—from winter prep to the devastating loss of our birds. At first, we thought the deaths were environmental, given the freezing temperatures and water issues, but when an entirely separate flock started dying too, we knew something bigger was happening. The USDA eventually confirmed our worst fears: it was avian flu.

Transparency is important to us at Kakadoodle. While some might want to keep this quiet, we believe in sharing the realities of farming—both the good and the heartbreak. This has massive implications for Kakadoodle, and honestly, we’re really worried about what comes next.
