Deck Chair | Epoxy Laminated Cedar and Torch Blackened Steel

When I started this project, I had no idea how successful it would be (or if it would turn out at all). Epoxy laminating cedar strips, plasma cutting steel with laser cut patterns, and doing old timey steel blackening were not processes I was familiar with but had always wanted to try!

The result was an exciting journey of learning while exploring new (to me) processes for fabrication. I think the final chair is also very satisfying and will be durable chair for me and my family to enjoy for years to come.

Miller Electric has provided me with the same Spectrum 625 Xtreme Plasma Cutter that you see in this video.
