How Auckland Took a Century to Build its Biggest Rail Project

Since 2016, the most significant and complex public transport project has been under construction in the heart of Auckland’s CBD. The City Rail Link or CRL for short This 3.5km underground railway will be transformative to Auckland like the Auckland Harbour Bridge was back in 1959. But what you might not know is that it was first planned a century ago, being scrapped and rerouted multiple times.
