We finally figure out what was causing the high idle on the 1979 L28 in this 1978 Datsun 280z. It is a very simple solution (and admittedly one that seems obvious in hindsight) but it was not easy to come by. After that, the Datsun gets new wheels and tires that should help its handling immensely, and some modification is needed to fit them before an impromptu alignment is performed.
