How to make a Suitcase Gift Box | Vintage Paper Travel Case | DIY Handmade gift | Tutorial by Crystal Best

In this video I will show you step by step, how to make your very own Vintage Travel Suitcase Gift Box inspired by Helen Griffin's video. I made a couple changes to my creation!

A perfect gift for any occasion, to use as a party favor or to hold a small gift!

Materials you'll need to make your Suitcase:

All sizes are in INCHES.

1. 2 pieces of cardstock 11 x 8 ½ for the base box
2. 1 piece of cardstock for the hinge 7 x 1 ½
3. Layers for your suitcase
a. 2 pieces of cardstock for front and back 7 1/8 x 5
b. 2 pieces of DSP for the front and back 6 7/8 x 4 ¾
4. For your straps
a. 4 pieces of cardstock for the front and back 3/4 x 5 ¼
b. 2 piece of cardstock for the top fold over 3/4 x 5 ½
c. 2 1 ¼ inch rings with a 1 inch cut out for the buckle
d. 2 pieces of cardstock for the buckle pin 1/8 x 1/2
5. For your handle
a. 1 piece of cardstock 7 x 7/8
b. 1 piece of cardstock 7 x ¾
c. 1 piece of file wire or floral wire
6. 8 circles for corners 1 5/8

11. String to hang tag
