Beta Testing A Fallout Themed Airsoft Larp - My Favorite Larp

In this video, Maxx attends his most favorite larp ever! It is a "fallout style" airsoft larp that a friend has been beta testing for a few years and everytime I have a chance to play, I try to make it.

The video doesn't show too much of the interaction and role-playing, but I plan to get more footage in the future.

Basically our goal was to get a water chip from a neighboring vault. Some of our characters had already made contact with the outside world, so we were geared up a bit more then others. We ended up running into a caravan and setting up a trade route, but once we got to the other vault, things went downhill fast... Deathclaws, Sentry Bots, All the bad things...

Most of us survived and we left off with our characters inside the other vault looking for the water chip.

The airsoft angle is such a departure from normal boffers and nerf larps that adds a real feeling to the game. You are always on edge and it can be very physical when running from gunfire and taking cover. Skills are handled by using playing cards or other random number generation tactics, so the entire game is fast-paced. It's really an awesome experience and I'm glad I get to be a part of it.

If you've never played airsoft or if you ever have a chance to go to an airsoft style larp, I'd highly suggest checking it out!

I apologize for some of the footage. It was a rainy, dreary day, so I didn't want to trash my good camera. Most footage is from phones and stuff. So, try to deal with that and next time I'll have better footage. Also, this video is actually from a couple weeks ago, so my ankle was still pretty bad. It's still not 100%, but that's why some of this video is gimp-cam footage.

At this time I do not have any additional links or information regarding this game, since it is just now finally in it's final stages of testing. But if you're in my area and would like to check it out, let me know.

The thumbnail is actually from a much earlier event when I was starting out in this beta testing, so my gear and look has changed quite a bit over a few years...
