"I Wish I Knew" has been one of my all-time favourites since I was a teenager. I’ve always loved the original — that energy, the feel-good vibe, the beautiful melody. It’s taken me a while to feel like I could play it in my own voice while still honouring all the versions that came before. Starting with an improvised baritone sax solo felt a bit exposing… but also joyful — and just right for this one.
