We review the Honor 8X's dual lens rear camera and selfie cam, checking out the best features such as that P20-style night mode and AI smarts. Is this really the greatest budget smartphone snapper of 2018?
Despite its affordable price, the Honor 8X punches well above its weight when it comes to the camera tech. For photos, you have Huawei's excellent AI mode, which can bring a rather basic scene to life. The dual lens camera arrangement can shoot top-quality Portrait pics, while the new Night Mode puts the Honor 8X close to some premium rivals for low light photos.
And while this budget mobile can't shoot up to 4K resolution video, the results aren't bad at HD level - as long as you keep quite still.
