Kinglake National Park endured the worst bushfire in its recorded history on 7 February 2019, during the Black Saturday bushfires. Between May 2009 and December 2012, Parks Victoria recorded the park's recovery.
Parks Victoria rangers from Kinglake National Park explain the loss that occurred in the park and the surrounding area, including at popular sites Mason Falls, Mount Sugarloaf Picnic Area, and Toorourrong Reservoir. In the years that follow the fire, see the forest recovering and learn about wildlife returning to the area.
