Since I have the different versions of the Myford Super 7, MK1 and 2, and they have different motorizing assemblies and clutch systems, I thought it was OK to document my work on the restoration process and show these
As I also learnt that the MK1 should be noisy and the MK2 difficult to take apart/reassembly, I was curious to see how I "performed" ie. if I was in for a lesson and possibly made a mess out of things or actually came out allright
It proved, although admittedly after some head scratching, early flaws and iterative efforts, to be a no-brainer..
Had to break it into 2 parts, so this first is the intro, some work on the motor and pulleys, then the dismantling- and reassembly of the MK2 countershaft/clutch, which I think (hope) might be of interest to others as well
Next will be a continuation of this, with the trials of the MK2 and MK1 versions
