Can function GROUPBY replicate the functionality of calculated fields of a PivotTable? The functions GROUPBY and PIVOTBY can group and aggregate data, so that the user can get the benefits of a PivotTable without actually having to use one. As an additional bonus, these functions get updated dynamically when the source data changes. But can these functions also replicate the three key features of calculated fields, namely custom aggregation, custom naming, and performing calculations with multiple fields (e.g. calculating total of two fields)? This video will answer this question using function GROUPBY. The third feature will be especially tricky to replicate, because of how this function works.
