Gong 2000 is a rock band with Ian Antono, Albert Wijaya, Yaya Muktio (drums), Harry Anggoman (keyboards), and Donny Fattah with vocalist Ahmad Albar. The band was founded in the early 90s.

Beginning of formation
The birth of Gong 2000 itself is inseparable from the role of Ian Antono's wife, Titiek Saelan, who encouraged her husband to form a community of musicians called the Gong Music Workshop. This community is intended to improve the condition of music in Indonesia, especially rock, and at the same time find solutions for talented young musicians in the rock track. However, those who joined the music workshop were not only from the rock track, but also jazz musicians, such as Mates (bass), Indra Lesmana (keyboard), Gilang Ramadhan (drums), even also recorded Yuke Semeru, a base from Bandung. Gong 2000 also not only collaborated with the group but also musicians and solo singers such as Nicky Astria, Ikang Fawzi, Iwan Fals, Gito Rollies and Hari Moekti. Vocalist choice fell on Ahmad Albar because he was considered the best and most appropriate vocalist for Gong 2000 at that time. It can be said that Gong 2000 is a miniature of God Bless because most of its personnel are also God Bless personnel.

Concert
On October 26, 1991 at Parkir Timur Senayan, satisfying about 100,000 viewers with 120,000 watt sound system equipment and 300,000 watt lights. Ian Antono, guitarist of the legendary rock group, God Bless founded a new group called Gong 2000. The group he formed involved Achmad Albar (vocal), Donny Fattah (bass), Harry Anggoman (keyboardist), and Yaya Muktio (dram). This group was formed from the beginning when Ian Antono was only 10 years old. The group's performance closed at the end of 2000, December 31 at Bende Beach, Ancol, North Jakarta, featuring guest star Amy Search and Singaporean singer, Ramli.
