Real‑Life Wash & Go on Fine 4B/4C Hair With 75% Shrinkage (Waist Length Stretched)

Sharing how you could style your 4B/4C hair.

My hair strands are fine and now after I started perimenopause, my density is about medium. It used to be very dense.

This "wash and go" style starting on dry hair took 13 minutes to. My hair was dry because I washed the night before and it had no product on it. It can also be done on damp hair.

If you detangle, make sure to detangle from the ends as I did, while holding the rest of your hair, so you don´t tug on your roots. It is less uncomfortable and there is less risk of your hair breaking. Normally I only detangle in the shower with a lot of conditioner in my hair.

In this video you also get a glimpse of how I do my make up. It took about 7 minutes to my makeup, so in total with hair and makeup you can be out the door in 20 minutes.
This hairstyle is most suitable for people who wash their hair several times a week, since hair mousse, even those made for afro textured hair tend to have a light hold, compared to gel, and keeping your hair shrunken without much hold for long periods of time can lead to hair tangles and breakage. This hairstyle is also useful on vacation or if you exercise regularly, since it can be done every day and it is quick and easy.
It is what I normally do on hot summers or when on vacation. Specially now that I started to experience hot flashes.
