E. Ness shed light on the $300,000 publishing deal offered by Bad Boy Entertainment after Da Band's album release. The deal, split among six members, would have netted each artist $50,000 through Janice Combs Publishing, a fact Ness confirmed. Despite this seemingly lucrative offer, Ness initially declined to sign due to apprehensions rooted in Diddy’s reputation for questionable business practices. However, with the benefit of hindsight, E. Ness realized the mistake of not engaging the deal. He admitted that relinquishing some publishing rights could have significantly benefited him by securing larger promotional backing and better record placement. This, in turn, could have opened doors to lucrative endeavors beyond music sales.
