Epyon gundam cosplay helmet tutorial

Welcome to the Epyon Gundam cosplay helmet tutorial. In this video, I demonstrate how to make Epyon's helmet.

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES

Pattern pieces
EVA foam (4mm, 6mm, and 8mm)
Weights (I use 123 blocks)
Exacto knife
Box cutter
Circle cutter
Band saw (optional)
Rotary tool
Heat gun
Contact cement
Respirator
Dust mask
Face shield
Cutting mat
Gluing mat

PROCESS

I start by tracing the pattern pieces onto the foam. I flipped each pattern piece so there's a right and a left piece. I used some 123 blocks to keep the pattern pieces from moving.
I used my exacto knife to cut out the 4mm and 6mm pieces, and my box cutter to cut out the 8mm foam. To make the side fins I glued 2 pieces of 8mm foam together. Then cut them out using my band saw.
I applied contact cement to the foam pieces, allowed it to dry, and glued the pieces together. I assembled the helmet in 2 separate halves, then glued those 2 halves together. Then I glued the side fins, back detail, and ring pieces to the helmet.
