AMD A8-5600K APU System Build

IMPORTANT NOTE: In this video, I place my finger on the processor while I was lowering the retention lever. Do NOT do this! The oil from your figure will contaminate the thermal paste,causing it not to be able to bond with the processor and heatsink effectively, resulting in inadequate heat transfer between them. I apologize for this inaccuracy in this video.

I built this system for a friend of mine. It's replacing a six year old HP Media Center PC.

Case: Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Mid-tower Case

Monitor: Asus VS238H 23" LED backlit Widescreen LCD Monitor

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-D3H

Processor: AMD A8-5600K Quad-Core APU running @ 3.6GHz

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Series 8GB (4GB x2) running at 1600MHz

Disk Drives: 120GB Mushkin Enhanced Chronos SSD for the boot drive, 500GB Western Digital Caviar Black for less frequently used applications and a 2TB Western Digital Caviar Green for storage.

Sound Card: Asus Xonar DGX 5.1

Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 CD/DVD burner

Power Supply Corsair CX430M 430 watt
