I ride my Lectric XPEAK e-bike through quiet streets and shaded lanes, stopping first at the mysterious Inscription Rock, where 400-year-old petroglyphs tell stories we're still trying to understand. Through the charming downtown and past the local park, every turn reveals another piece of this island's character.
Heading north to the state park campground, I discover why Kellys Island is truly special - the Glacial Grooves, massive scars carved into solid limestone by ice age glaciers over 18,000 years ago. Walking among these ancient grooves is like stepping back to the dawn of time.
